Through multiple media (drawings, digital compositions, tattoos, costumes…), Jérôme Pellerin-Moncler works on pattern and ornament and explores our iconic heritage. From the sacred to superheroes, from folklore to fairy tales, a wholecollective imagination is summoned and questioned through oftenjoyful and sometimes disturbing creations. Each work brings together separate worlds: princes charming and Christian martyrsmix cheerfully with sailors and cowboys. The compositions, strangely familiar, gradually reveal themselves to be sprinkled with unexpected, grating or ironic details. So manyamused and queer reflections of a world saturated with images.
